I spent years in software before a redundancy right before the first lockdown gave me an unexpected push. With nowhere to be and nothing to build in code, I picked up a chisel.
I'm based on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. In 2020 I started teaching myself woodworking from scratch — no background in trades, no family workshop, just a CS degree and a lot of YouTube. The van conversion came next: a Ford Transit Connect that's been “nearly finished” since 2023. Then in 2025 I bought a house that needs absolutely everything.
None of this is scripted. I'm not a professional. I get things wrong and I film it anyway. The channel is the real thing — every mistake included.
